In 1990, I started my career as a corporate accountant working for a variety of small and large corporations. Through these years, I developed a keen sense of bookkeeping and managerial accounting skills. In 1993, I started preparing taxes as well. Discovering my passion for tax, I decided to start my new venture, “Riccardelli Accounting”, in September of 1998. Riccardelli Accounting started out supporting large corporate clients, usually one client at a time in addition to the tax preparation service. After completing my MBA in May of 2000, I decided to redirect my business focus from large corporate clients to small business clients. Over the years, I grew the business out of my home as I raised our four children. In December 2012, my husband and I purchased the building at 10 East Main Street North Canaan, CT. In the 10 years at this location, I grew my practice from a one-person tax-focused practice to a 10-person office offering payroll, bookkeeping, and representation in addition to tax preparation.
In 2022, my family and I moved from CT to Peru, NY to build our dream home on our family land. At this time, I approached Molly LaMountain to start a new adventure in the Peru, NY area as we both realized the shortage of accountants in this area. Together with our family support, we purchased our building on Bear Swamp Rd in Peru. Our designer, CMC Design Studio LLC from Saratoga, NY, has put together our new office space layout. We are looking forward to moving forward with our plans to renovate our building to allow for additional staff as our practice grows.
